MCD Elections 2017 opinion poll: ABP News-C Voter survey puts BJP ahead with 34%

A pre-poll survey by ABP News and C Voter, released on Wednesday, suggested that the BJP was placed to retain control of all three wings of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in the upcoming elections.

Citywide numbers

• BJP: 34 per cent
• Aam Aadmi Party: 26 per cent
• Congress: 17 per cent

On these figures AAP would come second and the Congress third.

Corporation by corporation

East: the survey gave the BJP 38 per cent support, with AAP and the Congress at 21 per cent each.

North: the contest looked closer, with the BJP on 35 per cent and AAP on 31 per cent.

South: the BJP had 34 per cent, AAP 26 per cent and the Congress 17 per cent.

Polling schedule

Voting for the MCD is set for April 23, and all 272 wards across the North, South and East corporations will vote in one phase. According to the survey report, results are due on April 26.
