Documents Required for a Voter ID Card
To apply for a new Voter ID (Form 6) you need proof of age, proof of address and a photograph. Here is the standard list.
Photograph
- One recent passport-size colour photograph.
Proof of age (any one)
- Birth certificate
- Class 10 or 12 marksheet / certificate
- PAN card
- Aadhaar card
- Indian passport or driving licence
Proof of address (any one)
- Aadhaar card
- Bank or post office passbook
- Recent utility bill (electricity, water, gas, telephone)
- Indian passport or driving licence
- Registered rent agreement
Documents are uploaded online while filling Form 6 at voters.eci.gov.in. A Booth Level Officer may visit to verify your address.

वोटर आईडी के आवेदन में तीन चीज़ें लगती हैं — आयु का प्रमाण, पते का प्रमाण और एक हाल का पासपोर्ट आकार का फ़ोटो।
आयु के लिए जन्म प्रमाण पत्र, दसवीं की अंकतालिका या पासपोर्ट, और पते के लिए बिजली या पानी का बिल, बैंक पासबुक, राशन कार्ड या किरायानामा स्वीकार किए जाते हैं।
