Goa CM Manohar Parrikar dies at 63; state funeral planned, PM Modi to pay respects
Goa Chief Minister and former Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar died on Sunday evening at his son’s home in Panaji after fighting pancreatic cancer for more than a year. He was 63. President Ram Nath Kovind announced the news on Twitter, and tributes came in from leaders across parties. Funeral and tributes President Kovind described Mr Parrikar as an embodiment of integrity and dedication in public life. IIT-Bombay holds condolence meeting for alumnus and Goa CM Manohar Parrikar
IIT Bombay (IIT-B) was to hold a condolence meeting on Monday evening in memory of its former student, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who died after a long illness.
