Faridpur assembly election result 2017

Prof. Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal of the Bharatiya Janata Party won Faridpur in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election with 83,656 votes (43.98%), defeating Dr. Siya Ram Sagar of the Samajwadi Party, who polled 58,935 votes (30.98%). The winning margin was 24,721 votes.
