How to Remove or Object to a Name in the Voter List (Form 7)

Form 7 is used to object to the inclusion of a name in the electoral roll or to request deletion of an existing entry — for example, if a voter has died, permanently shifted, or is a duplicate.

Steps to submit Form 7

  1. Log in at voters.eci.gov.in or use the Voter Helpline app.
  2. Select Form 7 — Objection / Deletion of name.
  3. Enter the EPIC number and details of the entry to be deleted.
  4. Select the reason (expired, shifted, duplicate, or not ordinarily resident).
  5. Upload supporting proof if required and submit.

Good to know

The Electoral Registration Officer verifies every objection before deletion. A name cannot be removed without due process and notice.
