Documents Required for a Voter ID Card

To apply for a new Voter ID (Form 6) you need proof of age, proof of address and a photograph. Here is the standard list.

Photograph

• One recent passport-size colour photograph.

Proof of age (any one)

• Birth certificate
• Class 10 or 12 marksheet / certificate
• PAN card
• Aadhaar card
• Indian passport or driving licence

Proof of address (any one)

• Aadhaar card
• Bank or post office passbook
• Recent utility bill (electricity, water, gas, telephone)
• Indian passport or driving licence
• Registered rent agreement

Documents are uploaded online while filling Form 6 at voters.eci.gov.in. A Booth Level Officer may visit to verify your address.
