How to Check Your Name in the Voter List

How to Check Your Name in the Voter List

Before you vote, make sure your name is in the electoral roll. You can search the voter list online in a few minutes.

Full step-by-step guide, kept up to date: How to check your name in the voter list online

Search online

  1. Go to the Electoral Search portal at electoralsearch.eci.gov.in.
  2. Choose to search by EPIC number (fastest) or by personal details.
  3. For EPIC search, enter your Voter ID number and state.
  4. For details search, enter your name, date of birth, state, district and constituency.
  5. Complete the captcha and click Search to see your roll details, Part number and polling booth.

Other ways to check

You can also check using the Voter Helpline app, or by calling the toll-free number 1950 (prefix your STD code). If your name is missing, submit Form 6 to enrol before the elections.

Electoral roll revision (SIR) 2026

The Election Commission is currently running a nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in phases through 2026, re-verifying every existing entry rather than only recording changes. If your name was on the roll before, it is worth checking again using the methods above, especially if you have not filed an enumeration form with your Booth Level Officer (BLO) for this round. If your name does not appear, contact your local BLO or your state’s Chief Electoral Officer, or visit eci.gov.in for the current SIR schedule in your state.
