1. Sources of information, provided “as is”
The election data, legislator (MLA and MP) profiles, constituency details, party affiliations, results and related content on the Website are compiled from publicly available sources, including:
- the Election Commission of India (eci.gov.in) and the Chief Electoral Officers of the states;
- the official websites of the Lok Sabha and the state Legislative Assemblies (Vidhan Sabhas), and other government portals;
- PRS Legislative Research and other public research resources; and
- published news reports and other public records.
Where we publish figures such as election results, we check them against a second independent source, and we leave out figures where the sources disagree. Even so, aggregated public data can contain errors, omissions or delays, and details such as party affiliation, membership or office can change after we publish them. All information is therefore provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. It is not an official record and must not be relied on as one. For authoritative information, consult the Election Commission of India or the relevant government authority.
2. Information about public figures
Profiles of legislators and other political figures contain information about them in their public role, taken from official and other public sources. We do not knowingly publish private or sensitive personal information that is not already in the public domain, and we deliberately leave out personal phone numbers and residential addresses.
3. Non-partisan; no affiliation or endorsement
India वोट Kar is an independent, non-partisan information portal. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by or endorsed by any political party, candidate, elected representative, the Election Commission of India or any government body. A person, party, symbol, photograph or logo appears on the Website only to identify it and inform readers; that does not imply any endorsement, association, preference or political opinion. Names, symbols, trademarks and photographs belong to their respective owners.
4. Photographs, maps and illustrations
- Most photographs of legislators are from PRS Legislative Research, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence and credited on each page.
- State outline maps are based on DataMeet data, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 India licence and credited where they appear.
- Images marked “Illustration: AI-generated” are illustrations. They do not show real events, real people or real clients.
- Figures shown in the diagrams on our campaign-services pages are illustrative, as the text beside them says. They are not reported results.
5. Corrections and takedown: how to report an issue
If you are a legislator, candidate, their authorised representative or anyone else, and you believe information or an image on the Website is inaccurate, out of date, or should be corrected or removed, write to info@indiavotekar.com with the page address and the details of your concern, ideally with a source we can check. We review genuine, verifiable requests promptly and correct, update or remove the content as appropriate. 6. Advertising
Advertisements on the Website are selected and served automatically by Google AdSense. We do not choose individual advertisements, and an advertisement is not an endorsement by us of the advertiser, its products or any political message.
7. Election campaign services
Election-management software, campaign, survey, CRM, WhatsApp, SMS, voice-broadcasting and related services described on the Website are commercial services of Brainguru Technologies (including its LeadNXT software). They are provided under separate terms agreed in writing. Nothing on the Website guarantees any electoral outcome, result or level of performance.
8. Astrology and opinion content
Any astrology, horoscope, Kundli, gemstone or similar content is provided for general interest and entertainment, as a matter of faith and tradition. It is not professional, financial, legal, medical or predictive advice, and no result or outcome is promised. Opinions expressed in articles are those of their authors.
9. External links
The Website links to other websites, including partner and cross-promotional sites. These links are provided for convenience. We do not control or endorse those websites and are not responsible for their content, products, services, accuracy or privacy practices. You visit them at your own risk and under their terms.
10. Limitation of liability
