How to Remove or Object to a Name in the Voter List (Form 7)
Form 7 is used to object to the inclusion of a name in the electoral roll or to request deletion of an existing entry — for example, if a voter has died, permanently shifted, or is a duplicate.
Steps to submit Form 7
- Log in at voters.eci.gov.in or use the Voter Helpline app.
- Select Form 7 — Objection / Deletion of name.
- Enter the EPIC number and details of the entry to be deleted.
- Select the reason (expired, shifted, duplicate, or not ordinarily resident).
- Upload supporting proof if required and submit.
Good to know
The Electoral Registration Officer verifies every objection before deletion. A name cannot be removed without due process and notice.
