Chandra Prakash Choudhary is a leader of All Jharkhand Students Union. He represented Ramgarh in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from 2005 to 2019 and was a minister in the Raghubar Das government from December 2014 to June 2019, holding Water Resources and Drinking Water and Sanitation. He has been the Member of Parliament for Giridih since 2019 and was re-elected in 2024.He belongs to the dravidian OBC caste called KURMI.
